About Emily

Having gained four years’ experience in private client work, Emily joined Burgess Mee to grow the firm’s private client practice.

Emily is a private client specialist and advises on a wide range of matters. She is experienced in dealing with wills and tax planning, trusts, estate administration and dealing with the Court of Protection. She often advises high-net-worth clients including those with complex asset structures. She has a particular interest in working with entrepreneurs and younger clients in planning for the future. She has advised clients with complex commercial and agricultural assets.

Emily is STEP qualified having achieved a distinction in the qualification. She has provided comments to the media, including the Financial Times, on tax and estate planning.

Emily prides herself on providing empathetic and practical advice to clients. Wills, trusts and probate can be complex and technical, and it is important for clients to receive clear advice.

Outside of work, Emily is an avid reader, citing her greatest achievement as reading 140 books in 2023.
