Laura, an associate solicitor, joined Burgess Mee in May 2022. Prior to joining Burgess Mee, she worked at The International Family Law Group, a boutique international family law practice.
Laura qualified as a solicitor in March 2017. Her practice covers all aspects of family law, including divorce and financial matters, cohabitation, and pre and post nuptial agreements. Laura’s cases regularly involve other jurisdictions including Greece, The United States of America, Cyprus, Portugal and Canada.
Laura also deals with a wide range of children matters, sometimes with an international element, including abduction and relocation matters. She has experience of dealing with summary returns from both Hague Convention countries and Non-Hague Convention countries. Laura advises on urgent applications as well as applications for longer term arrangements for children.
Laura is a dedicated lawyer and is committed to achieving the best outcome for her clients. She is an active member of Resolution and takes a constructive and non-confrontational approach to family issues. She recommends the use of non-court dispute resolution where possible.
Laura has appeared on a number of BBC radio stations commenting on topical family law matters and has written articles for Lexis Family Law, Thought 4 Leaders and Resolution’s publication, The Review.
