Maisie joined Burgess Mee in October 2023, from Battersea based firm Hanne & Co.
Maisie has experience in all aspects of family law, including divorce and financial matters, disputes between unmarried couples, and nuptial agreements. She has developed expertise in cases with third party interests/intervener issues.
Maisie also regularly deals with a wide range of children matters, particularly those involving serious allegations of abuse, where greater sensitivity is required. She is working to build on her Modern Families practice.
She is a Resolution Accredited Specialist in both Children Law (Private) and Complex Lower Income Financial Remedies and was named a Legal 500 Recommended Lawyer in 2024.
Maisie’s approach is, wherever possible, to resolve disputes in a sensible, constructive and, importantly, compassionate way in order to achieve the best possible outcome for her clients.
In the last 2 years, Maisie has demonstrated a commitment to EDI in the field of Family Law, both in terms of her clients and members of the profession. She received ‘Highly Commended’ for the Wandsworth Business D&I Champion Award and was shortlisted for Resolution’s EDI Champion Award in 2023. She has a particular interest in neurodiversity and ensuring that neurodivergent clients are supported to ensure they can fully engage in their matter (whether in proceedings, or out of court negotiations). Outside of work, Maisie enjoys listening to music, cooking, and exploring the city.
