Suzanna joined Burgess Mee in January 2022. She studied law at the University of Edinburgh qualifying as a solicitor in Scotland in 2018.She worked in a leading family law department in Edinburgh before becoming dual-qualified in English law. She has experience advising on cases with cross border considerations and jurisdictional issues between England and Scotland.
Suzanna is supportive and pragmatic. She has experience in high-net-worth financial remedy cases, including those involving trusts and other complex financial issues. Suzanna advises on international cases, including those involving international pre-nuptial agreements. She also has experience conducting advocacy.
Suzanna also has considerable experience working on children cases, including those involving relocation. She has expertise in the modern families sector, including surrogacy cases, applications for parental orders, and Declaration of Parentage applications.
Suzanna is an active member of Resolution, the national organisation for family lawyers. She has written articles on Family law for The Financial Times and The Divorce Magazine. Suzanna also has experience volunteering with Barnardos and the Scottish Child Law Centre.
Outside work, Suzanna enjoys playing tennis, skiing, and cooking. She also loves spending time with family, friends, and her ever-enthusiastic labrador Nina.
